特斯拉开始推送北美地图更新 NA-2026.38
Tesla Starts Rolling Out New Maps Update for North America
Version NA-2026.38 arrives just two months after the last map update, bringing newer street data, speed limits, and lane guidance to Teslas across North America.

Tesla is rolling out another navigation data update to vehicles in North America, and it’s arriving much sooner than usual. Several Tesla owners reported on X that their cars started downloading map version NA-2026.38, just over two months after the previous NA-2026.26 maps update began rolling out in August.
Tesla’s map packages use a year.week versioning format, so the jump from week 26 to week 38 means this release carries map data that’s about three months newer. That’s a quick turnaround for Tesla, which typically releases map updates about twice a year. The last one jumped all the way from NA-2025.44, bringing data that was nearly a year newer.
What’s in a Tesla Maps Update
Map updates cover more than new points of interest and freshly built streets. They also include lane guidance, speed limit data, and road geometry, which feed everything from the navigation system and driver assistance features to Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
As with previous packages, you won’t get a notification when NA-2026.38 is ready. Your car downloads it quietly in the background over Wi-Fi, and you can check its progress under Controls > Software. These packages are several gigabytes in size, so they won’t download over cellular. If your garage has weak Wi-Fi, a Tesla Service Center, some Supercharger locations, or a phone hotspot can help. Map updates also roll out gradually, so not every car will see it right away.

Could It Help FSD Navigation?
Updated map data matters for FSD, which relies on onboard speed limit data and road information to plan its moves. The timing is also interesting. A Tesla AI engineer recently reiterated that FSD navigation improvements and pothole detection — both of which Tesla has been promising for a while — are on the way, including smarter routing that learns from your preferred routes instead of taking odd side-street detours.
Given how soon this update follows the last one, it’s possible Tesla is refreshing map data to support those FSD changes. Tesla hasn’t confirmed any link between the two, though. We’ll have a better idea as new FSD builds roll out and those improvements arrive in a point release or with FSD v15. For now, keep your Tesla connected to Wi-Fi to grab NA-2026.38 as soon as it’s available.
